Go Electric, Milpitas!
Milpitas residents can now receive exclusive add-on rebates for Heat Pump Water Heaters (HPWH), Heat Pump Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HP HVAC), Electrical Panel Upgrades, and Induction Cooktop/Range through the "Go Electric, Milpitas!" program. These funds come in addition to existing Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE) rebates, potentially reaching up to:
- $2,850 for HPWH
- $4,500 for HP HVAC
- $1,250 for Electrical Panel Upgrades
- $1,000 for Induction Cooktop/Range

Fee Schedule
The Fiscal Year 2024 to 2025 Building Fee Schedule (PDF) became effective July 1, 2024, effective through Feb 15, 2026.
California Building Codes
2025 California Building Codes became effective January 1, 2026.
Residential Incentive Program
Residential Building Incentive Program became effective August 21, 2019. The City had developed a discount program to promote health, safety, and welfare in the community. These are 50% discounts for all residential customers seeking building permits to replace water heaters, furnaces, and air conditioning units, and to install solar photovoltaic or thermal systems.
