Fees & Methods of Payment

In accordance with Assembly Bill (AB) 1483, the following information is provided for transparency regarding residential development regulations and costs.

See the Planning Fee Schedule (PDF) for the total fees. After completing your application, staff will send you an invoice. Fees must be paid in full for staff to begin reviewing your application. 

Here are the different methods of payment:

  • Online: Project Fee Payment. Please review instructions (PDF)
  • Wire:  Please review the wiring instructions (PDF).
  • Check. Mail a check payable to the "City Of Milpitas," indicate project no. in the memo, and mail attention to "Finance Department 1st Floor – Fiscal Services",  455 E Calaveras Blvd. Milpitas, CA 95035.  Please include a copy of the provided invoice with the check.

Housing Affordability Requirements

As specified by Milpitas Municipal Code (Title XII - Chapter 1 Inclusionary Housing) - all residential projects with ten or more dwelling units (excluding ADUs) are subject to a mandatory 15% affordable housing requirement.
