Home Electrification and Energy Efficiency

Go Electric Home!

Home Electrification

Upgrading your gas appliances to all-electric, energy efficient appliances is better for the health of you, your family, and the planet, and can save you money too!

Different Ways to Electrify Your Home

Induction Cooktop with pink pot and lid

Induction Cooktops

Induction cooktops use the magnetic field between its internal coils and your cookware to directly heat your pots and pans. Induction cooktops are precise and provide faster cooking times because they get 75% of direct heat, compared to gas stoves, which get 30% of direct heat. This makes induction cooktops the healthier and more eco-friendly option, as they are more energy efficient and do not release gas into your home!

Electric Clothes Dryer

Electric clothes dryers contain an electric heating element as an alternative to gas or propane to heat your clothes. This electric heating element contains metal coils to generate heat. Moisture from your clothes is then expelled in steam form through an exhaust pipe so that the hot air can continue to be used for the remainder of the cycle.

Heat Pump Water Heaters

Heat pumps work by taking heat from one place and transferring it to where it is needed. In heat pump water heaters, warm air is taken from your home and transferred through compressors and coils to heat the tank. Once the water is warmed, cool air is expelled, and the hot water is ready to use. Think about it like your kitchen refrigerator working in reverse!

Heat Pump HVAC

Heat pumps for heating and cooling take heat or cool air from outside to heat your home. During warmer months, the heat pump pushes hot air out of the home and moves cool air inside from outdoors. Heat pumps can be up to 65% more energy efficient than traditional furnaces and A/C units. Heat pumps uniquely also filter the air coming inside of your home - so you would have cleaner air for less energy!
