2025-2026 School Year After the Bell - After School Program
The City of Milpitas After the Bell (ATB) Program is excited for the opportunity to serve you and your child(ren) for the upcoming 2025 to 2026 School Year! The program starts August 13, 2025 and runs through June 5, 2026 from school dismissal until 6 p.m., including minimum days.

Milpitas, CA 95035- Milpitas Unified School District offers transportation for a fee to 1st-6th grade students from Mattos and Zanker. For details and to join the interest list, see the Transportation Services section.

Program locations and enrollment capacities are determined by the site administrators and the rooms available. If you have questions about a school site that is not listed, please contact that site’s Principal.
Transportation Services
The City of Milpitas, in partnership with Milpitas Unified School District, provides transportation from Mattos and Zanker Elementary school to After the Bell – Sal Cracolice Satellite Site for the 2025-2026 school year.
The cost for transportation is $1,307.16 per student for the 2025-2026 school year.
Familes can still register for transportation, pending availability in both ATB and on the bus, and will require full payment at time of registration.
Please Note:
- Transportation fees are non-refundable.
- Kindergarteners may attend ATB Sal Cracolice, but families must arrange their own transportation.
- Since online transaction fees are set by a third-party vendor and cannot be waived, we recommend registering in-person to avoid these additional charges.
To register:
- Pay online through our registration software, ActiveNet*.
- In-person* at the Milpitas Community Center or Milpitas Sports Center.
Reminder: Transportation registration does not include ATB program enrollment. Please register separately for After the Bell – Sal Cracolice.

Program Cost & Registration
ATB enrollment is $15 a day ($2,700 for the school year). Enrollment costs can be paid in full or paid through a payment plan.

For families who need further assistance, the Milpitas Assistance Program (MAP) is available which provides discounts of up to $1,000 on Recreation and Community Services classes and programs, per household, per year!
Payment & Payment Plans
- All families registered in the After the Bell payment plan will be required to have a valid credit card on file. Families will have the choice to pay in-person three days prior to the payment due date or have ActiveNet automatically charge the credit card on file at midnight on the day payment is due. In-person transaction fees will be $6 per transaction. Your initial payment due at registration will be charged a transaction fee. See below for breakdown:
- 8.5006% + $1.16 for totals $0 - $150
- 4.5774% + $6.40 for totals $150 - $500
- 3.2696% + $12.21 for totals $500+

Should a payment not be received by the deadline, your spot will be forfeited to the next person on the waitlist list for the entire school year. There will be no grace period for late payments. - An additional non-resident fee of $27 for non-Milpitas residents (per registered child) is due with the first payment. For Milpitas residents, please be prepared to provide two proofs of residency. Refunds
- To request a refund, submit a Refund Request Form in-person at a City facility or by email to sports_center@milpitas.gov.

- Refunds are calculated based on the submission date plus 10 calendar days. Participants will be refunded for unused program days beyond that date, minus a $10 service fee. Material and transaction/service fees are non-refundable.
- Example: If a refund request is submitted on September 1, 2025, the refund will be calculated based on September 10, 2025.
- ATB Transportation fees are non-refundable.
Waitlists

- If a spot opens at a site, City staff will contact families based on the order of the waitlist. The order is determined by the chronological date and time of waitlist registration. - If City staff contacts you regarding an open spot at a site and you are not ready to register at that time, your name will be removed from the waitlist, or you be moved to the bottom of the waitlist.
