Responsibilities
Through our work, we create a sense of community, promote health and wellness, increase cultural awareness, facilitate solutions to community needs, and support economic development.
Programs
The Recreation and Community Services Department provides programs, including Arts, Classes and Camps, Special Events, Arts, Sports and Aquatics, and the Virtual Community Center. We also provide Community Services for the entire community, and special programs for Seniors, Youth, and Teens.
Facilities
We operate the Milpitas Community Center, Milpitas Sports Center, and the Barbara Lee Senior Center and oversee rentals for City buildings, picnic areas, sports fields, and courts.
