Creek Cleanups
Trash can travel through storm drains, creeks, and rivers to become bay pollution.
How Can We Help?
Litter hurts our waterways and wildlife. Let’s work together to clean up our creeks, parks, and neighborhoods. You can participate by hosting your own cleanup site, or attending a cleanup hosted by the City! Cleanups are hosted every year in May and September for National River Cleanup Day and Coastal Cleanup Day, respectively.
Coastal Cleanup Day 2025 is coming up!
Join the City of Milpitas at Berryessa Creek (near Los Coches St and S Hillview Dr) on Saturday, September 20 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm to keep our waterways clean!
Volunteer With Us!
Volunteering your time at a local creek cleanup is a great way to protect and be a steward to your local watershed!
The City of Milpitas typically hosts a creek cleanup event on third Saturday of May and September at a local creek to celebrate National River Cleanup Day and Coastal Cleanup Day. Creek cleanup events typically begin at 9:00 am and end at 12:00 pm.
