Status of Women and Girls

Milpitas is a place where women and girls can feel safe, supported and successful!

In 2022, with funding from the California Women's Recovery Response Grant, Milpitas convened the CEDAW task force to explore how Milpitas can join the international effort to eliminate all forms of discrimination against women. The task force invited community feedback on discrimination in housing, education/training, employment/workplace harassment, health care, and domestic violence. Findings and recommendations are expected to be presented to City Council in August 2023.
