CDBG Programs / Projects

Each year the City of Milpitas provides grants for community development activities through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. Grants are awarded to non-profit organizations through the CDBG program to support primarily low- and moderate-income residents with a variety of public services and capital projects.

All CDBG activities must meet one of the following National Objectives:

1. Provide a benefit to low- and moderate-income persons;

2. Eliminate or prevent slums or blight; or

3. Meet other community development needs having an urgency because existing conditions pose a serious and immediate threat to the health or welfare of the community and other financial resources are not available to meet such needs, often referred to as “urgent need.”

For more information or questions regarding these programs, please contact the Housing Division by phone at (408)586-3222 or email housing@milpitas.gov.
