NOW OPEN - Workforce Housing Rental Assistance Program Round Two

The City of Milpitas Workforce Housing Rental Assistance Program (WHRAP) round two will provide 24 months of rental assistance for up to 28 Milpitas households at or below 30% of the Housing & Community Development (HCD) Area Median Income. 

The application period opened Tuesday, December 16th and may remain open until Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 5PM. Please note the application may close early if the program reaches 28 approved applications.

Rent Relief Program

General Eligibility Criteria for Rent Relief

• Resident of Milpitas for at least six months
• Located within the boundaries of Milpitas, California
• Is at or below 120% area median income (AMI)
• Have an established lease with a verified landlord

Detailed eligibility requirements, application, and the latest information can be found on the City of Milpitas Rent Relief Program website. This program is funded by a grant from the Office of Assemblymember Alex Lee through the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 California State Budget.
