Rivian, the leading electric adventure vehicle manufacturer, is bringing its innovative technology and sustainable vehicles to Milpitas. The company has announced plans to establish a new facility in Milpitas, which further strengthens its footprint in Silicon Valley and advances its mission of electrifying transportation. On March 4, 2025, the Milpitas City Council unanimously approved the Economic Development Incentive Agreement that solidifies the City of Milpitas and Rivian partnership for years to come. The partnership aligns with the Economic Development Strategy, General Plan 2040 – Economic Development Element, and the Climate Action Plan.
