7 PM July 10 — 5 AM July 13, 2020
WHEN & WHERE:
Starting Friday, July 10 at 7 PM all Westbound lanes 
on Montague Expwy will be closed between S. Milpitas
Blvd and E. Capitol Ave/Great Mall Pkwy.
Starting Friday, July 10 at 9 PM all Eastbound lanes
on Montague Expwy will also be closed between E.
Capitol Ave/Great Mall Pkwy and S. Milpitas Blvd.
This all-lane closure on Montague Expwy remains in
effect until 5 AM on Monday, July 13.
A detour will be provided on S. Milpitas Blvd through the
Milpitas Transit Center and BART Station to
connect to E. Capitol Ave and Great Mall Pkwy. Piper
Drive and Falcon Drive will be closed at Montague
Expwy. Weather, scheduling, and conditions permitting.
WHAT: Weekend road closure to accommodate construction of a pedestrian overcrossing that will
connect the Great Mall area to the Milpitas Transit Center and BART Station.

COMMUNITY IMPACTS: There will be noise, lights, dust, and construction vehicles driving forward and in
reverse with the accompanying beeping noise that is required by OSHA for safety. Drivers should obey
posted speed limit.
VTA TRANSIT IMPACTS: Buses will follow the posted detour and will still have access to the Milpitas
Transit Center. The “kiss and ride” drop off lane at the Milpitas Transit Center will be closed.
