Milpitas Postpones Public Hearing on the La Quinta Hotel Appeal Due to Coronavirus Concerns
City Council hearing rescheduled from next week to April 7
Milpitas, Calif. — In response to growing concerns about the outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and the potential risks associated with large public gatherings, the City of Milpitas and representatives of the proposed La Quinta Hotel project have agreed to move the date of the City Council’s public hearing on the appeal from March 17 to April 7.
This action is consistent with Santa Clara County Public Health Department guidance for reducing risk and exposure to the novel coronavirus and is intended to protect the health and well-being of Milpitas residents and City employees.
