Founded April 1996. The Youth Advisory Commission (YAC) was established to advise the Council on matters pertaining to youth and teens in Milpitas. Commissioners must be in grades 7 through 12 and live in Milpitas. 7 voting Commissioners and 2 Alternate Members are appointed to 3-year terms.

The Youth Advisory Commission shall hold meetings the 2nd Thursdays of every month, except July, at 6:00 PM at the Rooms 140/141 in the Teen Center, or another designated location.
