In 2021, the City of Milpitas introduced its Mural Program to promote murals throughout the city and actively engage residents, community stakeholders and property owners in the process of creating new works that celebrate the history, diversity, and aspirations of the community. The Mural Program will result in up to four new murals per year, including at least one per year designed by a hometown artist.
Milpitas residents, business owners and artists are invited to nominate locations around town that they would like to see beautified with a public art mural.
Muralists are invited to submit resume and portfolio samples for consideration.
Milpitas residents and business owners are invited to serve on selection panels.
