Summer Activity Guide

The last two summers seemed to just come and go, but your Milpitas Recreation and Community Services Department wants this Summer to be a memorable one! This summer we see a full return of your favorite events, camps, classes and services – and new ones too! Look for the “New” and “Fan Favorite” banners throughout the Guide. One positive takeaway from the challenges of the last two years has been a resurgence of the use of parks and open space for both physical and mental wellness. Use Milpitas’ greenspace and trails to play, exercise, or simply soak up some Vitamin D! Don’t forget our parks and facilities are perfect for your summer parties and get-togethers. And as our community continues to recover from the pandemic, our summer social services programming includes support groups, reducing your toxic load, and Rebuilding Together house repairs. See the complete list of supportive services on Page 7.

Spring Activity Guide

Welcome to a brand-new year with Milpitas Recreation and Community Services! Spring is always a time of renewal, but this year is more special than ever. The Milpitas City Council recently approved a new Parks and Recreation Master Plan, which will guide the development of new parks and programs for the next ten years. City Council has also approved some fun new community events for 2022, beginning with an Earth Day celebration this spring. Our Milpitas Assistance Program will provide an increase in the water bill subsidy and, coming later this spring, childcare subsidies for qualified low-income residents. And, of course, there are plenty of new camps and classes throughout this edition of the Activity Guide. I invite you and your family to join us and add something new to your life this spring!
