Grocery Store – 1261 E. Calaveras Blvd: A request for a Conditional Use Permit to allow a 3,650 square-foot grocery store in an existing building on a 4.3-acre site in the Victorian Square commercial shopping center, located at 1261 E Calaveras Boulevard. Janatha Bazar will offer for sale a variety of general Indian food products including fresh and frozen vegetables, meats, dairy and bakery products, frozen prepared foods, and a selection of crockery and cooking tools. The proposed hours of operation are 9:00AM to 9:00PM, Monday to Sunday.
CEQA: The Project is categorically exempt from environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 (Existing Facilities). As a separate and independent basis, the Project is also exempt from environmental review pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15183 (Projects Consistent with a Community Plan, General Plan, or Zoning).
