- THE COUNTY POP-UP TESTING CLINIC IN MILPITAS: The next County pop-up testing is scheduled on Oct. 19 and Oct. 30, at the Milpitas Sports Center, 1325 E. Calaveras Blvd. The County will accept 750 appointments; schedule yours now.
- POOLS ARE OPEN FOR LAP SWIM AND WATER EXERCISE: Milpitas Sports Center pools are now open for lap swim and water exercise classes, with capacity restrictions and social distancing health guidelines in place. Reservations are required. Reserve a spot online.
- FACE COVERINGS ORDER: The State, on June 18, requires all Californians to wear face masks in public places. The City’s April 22 order, requiring the use of face coverings in Milpitas is still in effect. Read the full City order here and FAQs are available here. - FREE MEALS AND GROCERY: The City of Milpitas and the Milpitas Unified School District, along with other community partners, are working together to ensure every Milpitas resident has access to food during this time, find more information here.

- October 13: The State HHS Director announced Santa Clara and Alameda have transitioned to the Moderate or Orange Tier – SCCDPH revised Public Health Order will be effective tomorrow October 14th and has posted a page for capacity limitation requirements.
- September 28: Local County Health Officials offer guidance on how to celebrate Halloween and Dia de Los Muertos safely and prevent spreading COVID-19 among friends and neighbors. Read the Joint Statement here.

California State News
- October 9: The California Department of Public Health Officials released new guidelines for how holiday events can and should take place. The new guidance allows for private outdoor gatherings (up to two hours) to allow up to three separate households provided masks and certain social distancing protocols are met. Indoor gatherings with people outside of an immediate household are still strongly discouraged.
