Climate Action Plan

The City adopted a Climate Action Plan (CAP)  in 2013 to make Milpitas a more sustainable community by reducing greenhouse gas emissions (GHG). In addition, the CAP provides guidance for adapting to anticipated effects of climate change. The CAP looks at five key sectors— energy use, vehicle miles, waste production, water usage, and off-road activities—the CAP incorporates best practices to produce a blueprint for achieving GHG emissions reduction in Milpitas and ultimately, to comply with AB 32 and SB 375.
