The Community Advisory Commission (CAC) presents the Annual Neighborhood Beautification Awards! This program helps to build a sense of community by keeping Milpitas a beautiful place to live and work.
The Neighborhood Beautification Awards Program was established to recognize and reward City of Milpitas residents, property owners, neighborhoods, community groups and business establishments for improving their front yards with new landscaping, improvements, and maintenance.
There are four award categories:
1. Attractive Residential Property: This category focuses on a single- family home.
2. Attractive Multi-Family Property: This category focuses on mobile homes, apartment complexes, and duplexes etc.
3. Attractive Non- residential Property: This category focuses on non- residential properties including (restaurants, businesses, medical offices, and shopping centers).
4. Building a Sense of Community: This category focuses on how an organization, school, or business has created an environment that positively impacted the city of Milpitas.
An award winner will be selected from each of the four sections of the City including the Hillside Area, East Valley Floor Area, Central Area, and West Area. All properties will be judged on their visible aesthetic appearance from the street. All the winners and nominees will receive a Certificate of Recognition issued by the City of Milpitas. The certificates will be handed out at a City Council meeting by the Mayor and pictures of the properties will be on the City website and the City Cable Channel 15.
Applications are available at City public facilities and on the City’s website, which are due no later than July 31, 2019.
