Using clean electricity to power our homes and cars helps reduce Milpitas’ carbon footprint.
Burning natural gas for heating or gasoline for transportation releases pollutants that contribute to poor air quality and increase the risk of respiratory illnesses. By switching to electric appliances and electric vehicles (EVs), we can enjoy cleaner air and a more resilient local environment.
Milpitas’ community energy provider, Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE), supplies 100% carbon-free electricity to nearly all homes and businesses—at rates lower than PG&E. This means electrifying your home and transportation isn’t just good for the planet—it’s also good for your wallet!
And now, it’s even more affordable.
Thanks to funding from the U.S. Department of Energy State and Community Programs—made possible through the Office of Congressman Ro Khanna—Milpitas residents can access exclusive local rebates. Add $3,600 or more on top of the $13,000 in existing SVCE rebates to help complete your electrification projects.
