Picnic Rentals
The City of Milpitas has small, medium, and large picnic areas located at parks throughout the City - perfect for all kinds of outdoor celebrations. Our larger and more popular sites can be rented to guarantee your exclusive use of the picnic area of your choice. Small picnic sites are available for use on a first-come, first-served basis.
Reservations
Picnic area reservations can now be requested online via ActiveNet, or by emailing the Community Center. Picnic reservations are not considered final until staff responded to your inquiry with a confirmed reservation and sent your Picnic Area Reserved signs to you.

Please note: A $30 non-refundable application fee will be applied to all reservations.
Additional Information
The non-refundable application fee is already included in the park reservation fees. The capacities of parks are determined based on the amount of available parking. The three types of parks are large parks, small parks with restrooms, and small parks without restrooms. Large parks require a credit card on file as a deposit. The reservation is limited to picnic tables and BBQ grills. The park is still available for public use, i.e. playground, grass area, and unused tables/grills. Groups can bring their own tables/grills and use the grass area. Park reservations cannot be canceled. The reservation can be moved to another date but another non-refundable application fee will be charged. In the case of a rainout, the applicant has seven days after the event to contact Recreation Services for a credit. The credit (minus the application fee) will be issued to the applicant's City of Milpitas account, which can be used for other Recreation programming or reservations.
